Is there any tennis opportunities in Mahomet yet for adults?

My 6 1/2 year old would love to learn how to play tennis. We missed the opportunity with the Recreation department in November because Tuesday night are Cub Scout nights but I understand it filled up fast. Hopefully with the new year and new schedule a different night or additional option will be available.

I would love for their to be a tennis program in Mahomet! I currently use Champaign's facilties (and pay an extra fee for not living in the Champaign park district!). Please keep us updated on what can be done to bring tennis to Mahomet.

We would love to have tennis in Mahomet! My 5 yr old is currently taking lessons in Champaign, so the chance to practice, play and take lessons in Mahomet would be great! I would love to get out there too!

I play tennis with my 13 year old son, and we'd love to be in a program! We are the ones that rope tied the tattered net together at 13 Acres Park just so we could try and play. What a couple of great courts if resurfaced and new nets. Yep, two from my family would be regulars. Thanks.

I think a tennis program in Mahomet would be great! Having played in high school and college, I never understood why Mahomet did not have a program. I have not played since living here, but my children have always wondered what that old tennis racket can do! I hope they get the opportunity to experience tennis in Mahomet. I am in full support.

I'm really glad that we may have this. I have been wanting some other people to enjoy tennis with, But it's kinda hard in my front driveway, So this is good.

I was shocked that there were no tennis courts in the town when we moved here. I loved being on my high school tennis team and was sad my kids wouldn't have that choice. I hope that will finally change. I would love to belong to a league here rather than having to drive to Champaign or Urbana. Good luck!
