2011 SEASON SUMMARY

Congratulations to the Mahomet Girls Teams for winning their first three matches against local Country Clubs (9-4 versus LCC, 7-3 versus CCC, and 10-3 versus UCC).  And THANK YOU to Lincolnshire, Champaign and Urbana Country Clubs for joining us in these matches and helping our girls learn about competitive tennis - we look forward to 2012!

7/15/2010 - PRACTICE CANCELED TODAY**
Champaign is under flood conditions and rain/thunder are ongoing.  Even if rain stops soon, the courts wouldn't drain and dry in time.

We should have great attendance next week - please let me know if you won't be there.  I'm also expecting the News Gazette to be out in the next couple weeks, so knowing attendance would be great.


6/15/2010 - PRACTICE CANCELED TODAY**
**With rain starting now (4:47) and big storms moving in, we have to cancel practice today.  See everyone Thursday, and remember that next week we start going Monday/Thursdays!  WORK ON POP VOLLEYS IN YOUR BASEMENT!!

6/10/2010 - PRACTICE CANCELED TODAY**

**Just yesterday I was notified by the Public Safety Director at Parkland that we are not allowed to continue our program unless/until I completed a certification program in CPR/AED (defibrillator use). Fortunately, I was able to scramble and find someone willing to do this (although expensively) on short notice over the weekend. I will then need to present the certificate and sign various waivers, etc...So, we should be good-to-go for next week.

The bad news is that we have to cancel lessons for today. I'm very sorry about that and wish that Parkland would've made me aware of this back in April when I was granted use of the courts for our program.

Please let me know if you have any questions, and if you've paid for the week, of course that will translate over into the next practice.

I'm also inquiring about moving our Tuesday practice to Monday - please let me know if that would present any problems for you (and, also, if it would be particularly good).  Please email me at erics@wolfram.com and let me know either way.

First Practice is Tuesday June 8, 2010 at 5:30 at the Parkland Courts!  Check back to this page for cancellation information as storms are expected to be moving through the area.

Be on time - always - and on the courts by 5:30.

Bring:

1)  Registration fee ($25) and daily fee ($5), weekly fee ($10) or summer all-play fee ($75)
2)  Water
3)  Sunscreen
4)  Racket
5)  Positive attitude - ready to listen, learn, work hard and have fun!
